  2. That carpet.... House I grew up in had technicolor carpet like that. If you dropped something on it, you had to search to find it. You could barf on it and not see it.

    1. That would likely be Congoleum. That stuff came in all sorts of patterns from this sort of deco to looking like fine carpets. Cheap to obtain, simple to use and lay down in the dining room, kitchen, living room and have the look of high style!

  3. Just like the kitchen I grew up in the 1950's where we consummed lots of spam, baked beans, franks and Kool Aid. The only thing I don't see is the Philco AM radio where my mother listened to soaps while she was cooking or ironing.

  5. I think it was referred to as vinyl sheet Linoleum and came in 8 ft tall rolls….

  6. Feels more like the 40's than the 50's to me, sewing machine in the wood cabinet in the center was the same as a older relative had when I was a kid.
