And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Arnold Palmer and Ben Hogan at The Masters in 1966
Note that neither Palmer nor Hogan are logoed up with brand advertising. They played golf, and weren't selling anything as they strolled down the fairways.
The seated individuals are members & their guests. Back then, members didn't have to wear their jacket. Although it was a major, it was mostly southern & NYC orientated. Today, Charlotte has the most members (15 or so), followed by ATL.
Everyone smoked in the 60s, and hardly anyone had asthma.

DeleteFrom 68 to 75 I was able to wangle my way into the Masters. Most of the years it was as a soda hawker but I did some paid tickets over the years.
