Making harvesting easier. What's gotten into that one critter who's wandering into the wheat?

  2. they had larger teams. the whole schmear was contracted from area to area at harvest.

  4. 30 horses arraigned 6 abroad. Each horse is assigned certain duties. That is one heck of a pull. The drover really would know his stuff. Even still, he has to count on the 3 lead and the outside horses at the back. Tremendous. I've not before seen such an array. It would be very interesting and informative to watch them work, especially the ends of the field.

  8. The Buffalo Bill Center of the West in Cody Wyoming has a model of a freight wagon and team on display. Not as many horses as pictured but more than I've ever seen live. The most interesting thing is that you can see how the lines are arranged to every horse so as to be under the driver's control.
