    Fellow was cool as a cucumber.

    1. The student ran the plane out of fuel. Unfortunately, it remains a very common cause of off airport landings. I'm not so sure he passed....

  4. Almost looked like he meant to do that. Good bit of luck involved as well. A ground hog hole could have ruined his whole day.

  5. Given the terrain looks like a very good landing. Lot of trees and houses to miss. Guy did keep calm which enforces the old rule, Fly the plane.
