And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Late 60’s hump day throwback.... nice!
ReplyDeleteOooh. Chaps.
ReplyDeleterrooow! Emma Peel a.k.a. Diana Rigg. My favorite shaow when I was a kid!
ReplyDeleteMmmmm Emma Peel
ReplyDeleteShe had a two pack a day, habit. A beautiful woman, who must have reeked.
ReplyDeleteA great team, and a fun show to watch. Lady Diana was a heart throb for so many teenage boys, myself included. Patrick Macnee, always the gentleman.
ReplyDeleteIt's been said (probably here) that she was responsible for more spilled seed than Archer Daniels Midland.
DeleteAnd Emma's missing husband was a handy way to avoid any romantic entanglements amongst the characters.
Who else to play the only character to rope 007 into matrimony?
ReplyDeleteSuede chaps? Pish-tosh.
Mrs. Peel's leather catsuit pulled an entire generation through puberty.
I always preferred Honor Blackmans character, Cathy Gale.
