Pearls of Persia

  1. Stay with wool, it's the safe bet. If they tell you it's silk, and then insist that it's 'art' silk or 'artisan' silk, it's really rayon, and it will fall apart a little every time it's cleaned. Gives you an idea of how cheap the labor is.

    1. They come in all kinds of things, but it's best when they're coming in nothing.

  4. Pearls of Persia: its the weave of the rug that makes them last so long, very small tight irregular weave are real Persian rugs. The knots per square inch(KPSI) can be anywhere from 16 knots up to 3300KPSI (silk highest). How expensive can they be, Sotheeby's sold a rug in 2013 for $33 million dollars. Keep an eye out for garage sales as people do not know the value, family member fund a Persian rug paid $100 dollars for it.Excellent condition.
