And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

One of the daughters sent this picture of one of the Sierra fires that she saw this weekend. Ominous!
CA is probably responsible for more weather changes than any other "man made" source. The smoke from those fires definitely affects weather patterns and cloud formation.
The way things are going, maybe just maybe all the dead kindling will be burned soon. Then we won't have to deal with all these mismanaged forest fires for a while.
