And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Check out the book about them in the Falklands war. "Harrier 809". Britain did that war on a shoestring. Two versions of that plane, RAF and RN (navy). The RAF versions had lots of Magnesium parts, and they ended up buying WD-40 by the barrel to coat that plane to keep it from corroding away in the salt air.
I'm not impressed. It's nothing more than a Harrier on steroids, but with lots more parts to break.
ReplyDeleteAnd it's 32 times more expensive !!

BTW...understand that Harrier was a WIDOW-MAKER!
ReplyDelete32X is a little high-priced...but not when you are in a Harrier in distress!
The F35B will land itself, if asked nicely. Most Harrier and VTOL craft have their accidents on landing/takeoff.

ReplyDeleteNotice how little suspension travel that F35 has? And it used near all of it on a normal landing. I'm thinking that is not good engineering practice.
