  2. You know, concrete is pretty inert stuff. Not full of water like a tree. Imagine the energy release necessary to make it explode. Wow.

    1. Concrete has all the water in it that was in the original mix, plus whatever it has absorbed since then. You Don't use a torch to heat of cut something over concrete as it will spall and shoot up cone shaped chunks. I saw a framed up house burn down once and the glowing coals left behind caused the concrete to explode like land mines throwing embers everywhere.
