King George VI of the United Kingdom and President Franklin Roosevelt of the United States during the King’s visit to the Roosevelt home in Hyde Park, New York, United States, Jun 10, 1939, the day before the famous hot dog picnic.

George looks skeptical about whatever it is Roosevelt is saying.  And Roosevelt's head looks nearly twice as big.   What's up with that?

  4. Camera angle - FDR is a foot ahead of King George. Look at the position of the arms. Same thing as the Carter/Biden photo - look at the shoes on that one.

  5. That hot dog picnic was interesting. I just googled it and read a little of it. I would share if I knew how. Roosevelt was still a commie tho.

  7. King George VI was 5ft 9in and FDR was 6ft 2in. And to my knowledge unlike Tom Cruise George didn't wear elevator shoes.

  10. Part of the difference is "forced perspective"...the relative difference between two subjects and the camera lens. The other being the fact that FDR was not a small man and King George not a large man.

  11. FDR looks like "The Penguin" in the original Batman show. I'm 100% sure that was intentional. https://i.chzbgr.com/original/5016608256/h4F4864BF/tll-classics-franklin-roosevelt-totally-looks-like-the-penguin
