And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I was a avid fan of 24hr du Man's but they put it on a cable channel I don't have. Drivers use to have to sprint to their cars, starting outside of them in a line.
1959 when men were men and women waited at the finish line. Sigh, I miss the "Le Mans Start".

ReplyDeleteNever made it to Le Mans but went to Sebring 12 hours quite a lot when I was a lad in the 60s. Still had Le Mans start there.
