  2. When you run a dozer like that it's called 'High Trackin'. Seems like an appropriate term here, too.
    Full disclosure: This expression dates from the days long before Caterpillar made high track dozers.

  3. ...and that's why the shock-absorbers on vehicles like that have separate reservoirs with heat sinks...lots of energy to shed!

  4. This exact same thing has been going on since the 60's. There is now a vintage class that regularly stay right up there with the latest and greatest. You can make a 1965(up to 1979) Ford pick up do that with a few thousand bucks.

  5. Love that vid. It makes it clear that the purpose of a suspension is not to give the passenger a smooth ride, it's to keep the wheels on the ground.
