Mrs. CW has been happily using these for years

In fact, recently one of Mrs. CW's Henckel's developed a problem with the handle (after years and years of use).  Henckel replaced it promptly without a word.  And it came super sharp.

  1. I have a few of those Henckel's knives... starting about 50 years ago.

  2. Some Henckels are great others have a dangerous issue. Put the knife down on the counter with the blade facing up, if it doesn't fall to either side but sits there blade-up you don't want that design.

It may not bite you for years but at some point you will get busy and it will.

  3. Before or after they shifted to
Chinese production? I have a 4 piece set of steak knives from when they were made in German. Don;t know about current production.

  5. Likely Mrs. CW's grandkids will be using that set for years and years too.

I favor the 4-Stars, but that's basically a vanilla vs. chocolate question.
