And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Some were born here. The rest of us got smart when we saw the liberal destruction of the North Eastern states we were raised in and made strategic moves. I got my calling from the advice of a guy I worked with in the 1960s. Mr. Turton moved to Sylva in the early 80s and never looked back. I didn't get quite as far west as him, but 50 miles is close enough.
2 years ago, the wife and I were headed to Asheville and came upon this sign...(no lie)...what was coming up the ramp to I-40 from this exit...yup, the Batmobile!
About 5 miles from me in Western NC. I've never been there, however.
