  2. That is what is known in top fuel as a "sneeze". the digger I crewed on, the blower would be torqued down with 1/2" aluminum nuts.
    If the blower "sneezed" but remained on the engine, the formerly 1/2" aluminum nuts would be removed by using 5/8" or 11/16" wrenches/ sockets.
    Very Exciting for the driver!!!

  3. One night at the drags that whole bit landed about 15 feet from where I was standing. It was awesome. Of course, every trip to the drags is awesome.

  5. Looks like the retention straps didn't work....

    NHRA General Regulations:
    1.13 SUPERCHARGER RESTRAINT DEVICE

    Supercharger restraint system meeting SFI Specs mandatory per Class Requirements;. TF and FC require SFI 14.3; TAD and TAFC Roots-type require an SFI 14.2 restraint; TAD and TAFC Screw-type require SFI 14.21; methanol burning ET cars require SFI 14.1. Restraint system must be updated at two-year intervals from date of manufacture. See Class Requirements.
