A New and True American Hero

A Military Policewoman guarding the entrance Corpus Christi Naval base saved many lives yesterday. She took a bullet to the chest from a terrorist. Her vest stopped the bullet but knocked her down. She got up, activated the gate barrier stopped his vehicle and shot and killed him.

  1. All in a day's work. I think the Navy says "Bravo Zulu" for a job well done but this was more than that.

Nice smile on the K-9 too.

  7. Way to go, and us tax payer slaves don't have to pay for his incarceration for the rest of his miserable life. She's cute too! If she recovered that quickly, she is not an person to screw with in a dark alley.

  8. She is a "heroine", not a "hero", and a "matron-at-arms", not a "master-at-arms".

We must resist this "Political Correctness" which is destroying our English language.

    2. I'll buy " heroine" would be the proper use. Her deeds were not heroic. She did what she and others are charged to do, and did a damn fine job it seems.
And yes, given the gold badge I'd surmise her rating is "Master At Arms" and the crows worn on those cammies (and the newer Type III) don't have rating insignia, only rank
      BZ, lass!

  10. If the Navy doesn't see that she is cited, with valor, then there is something seriously wrong with her leadership.

    1. A letter of recommendation seems about right; maybe some promotion points on her next exam.
There's PLENTY wrong with Navy " leadership" at the moment.

  11. I take it that this is the sailor who was shot? My point is here is the first I have read that the sailor who was shot and the one who shot the terrorist is the same person.

That irks me although I shouldn't be surprised that the lame stream media don't do their jobs. No where but here did I read that the MP was a woman nor that a woman was shot nor that she is the one who wiped that scum of the earth.

    1. There is no conflict; what you read is correct. She took a round to the chest that was absorbed by her body armor. She picked herself up, hit the panic button to close the barricade, and then popped the offender. She is righteous. I think you could have looked a little harder but we all have our shortcomings. Except for her, apparently.

  12. She's cute. I'd let her shoot me just to get close to her.

  13. Took 1 to the chest and didn't just stay in the fight, she WON the fight. How many here can say they'd do the same? I'm honestly not sure I could...
