And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? Good for keeping the razors and pocketknives looking shiny.
Also great for polishing the water cooled silver contact blocks on the 7200w carbon arc that was the light source for the Century 35mm movie theater projectors I ran back in the late 70’s (yes, I showed the original release of Star Wars - we had it at our theater for over a year). That was a great job for a kid in high school and early college. I miss the job - and those projectors. They were wonderfully over-engineered. Literally built like tanks - in the good old US of A.
Great for aluminum engine cases on motorcycles.

ReplyDeleteHaven't seen that for years!
ReplyDeleteBack in the early '60s I had a pair of wraparound sunglasses that were scratched in the center of the lens. Essential for being cool on my 'cycle!
Simichrome to the rescue! A few minutes polishing, and those sunnies were like new!
