And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

What would I give to fly a Mossie so I could play in the air, wrack her over like in the picture. I wouldn't even mind if they shoot back. Their best defense was blistering speed.
Possibly D-Day or slightly after as the fighter-bombers seems to have the D-Day black/white stripes
ReplyDeleteFrom what I've read, the D-Day stripes weren't totally removed in some units until December of '44. But I'd guess the same as you.
