Mrs CW found out one of the local dealers had one, and tasked me to stop by and file a report with her.

It was green, and loaded with options. Note the wide stance fender flares. I like.
The price on this one? Astronomical, but it's sold.
The logo. Rawr!
Interior is a combo of modern and retro. Only an automatic transmission on the Hellcat. Manuals can't take the torque.
So it has a feature call "line lock," which locks the front wheels to allow for absurdly smoky burnouts. I can imagine Mrs. CW performing that trick in front of her church lady friends.
Glad I'm not paying for his tires.
ReplyDeletePositive traction rear end. What's the horsepower?
ReplyDeleteHoly Jehoshaphat. Out the door you're knocking at somewhere on the order of $100,000. Plus tires. Plus insurance. Plus the supermodel that I'd have to retain to sit in the left seat to round out the mid-life crisis.
ReplyDeleteWhen the Prowler first appeared I was a mechanic at one of the only dealership I'm the southeast to get one. The price was $1.1 million. The second day it was on display a guy came in with $1 million - cash. He was told no. He came back the next day with correct change. Cars like this don't stay unsold for long.
ReplyDeleteInteresting center console configuration
ReplyDeleteNot only are the stick trannies weak-kneed, the aluminum diffs are likewise structurally challenged. Check out the you-tube vids of the rear ends making deposits on the start line after doing the line lock thing. Warranty will be voided so you have been warned...........
