And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Oh, to have had the foresight to buy as much property as possible down there back in the day.

I grew up in the Valley; on Ostronic Drive in Woodland Hills. My Dad bought our home on 3/4 acre for $21,500 back in 1958. Now that same house, on a much smaller lot since another home was built on the back portion, is going for $1.1M.
Sadly, it's no longer an area where I'd like to raise kids, though many are doing so. Lots of Hollyweird types and drug dealers there now.
