And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
This one is the real classic Coleman stove: https://www.amazon.com/Coleman-2-Burner-Classic-Liquid-Stove/dp/B001D22TQC?SubscriptionId=AKIAILSHYYTFIVPWUY6Q&tag=duckduckgo-d-20&linkCode=xm2&camp=2025&creative=165953&creativeASIN=B001D22TQC
Make no mistake, the propane is easier and more convenient though.
I was going to say the same thing, a classic coleman uses white gas. The last Coleman I got rid of was a 3 burner that used either gas! I replaced it with the propane one in the picture!
Got one. Got two Real Classic kerosene stoves as well. Both function perfectly.
ReplyDeleteThat's not really the "classic"...

That's the one I use. Yes, propane is MUCH easier to use than the white gas canister that you had to pressurize. They're also MUCH safer.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how many people died from a Coleman White gas malfunction?
DeleteRebuild 'em once a season with new gaskets and pump leathers and every few years a new gas generator and they were pretty safe.
DeleteDon't and you get all sorts of fun. BTDT
Modern seals and gasket material would have made 'em safer too.
Unless it is cold out... then the propane doesn't flow to good.
DeleteI still have the white gas stove my parents bought in the mid-60's It is silver.
ReplyDeleteWhite gas malfunction? Never heard of it. These stoves have worked safely and reliably all over the world.
