And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
The "stroll" wasn't creepy when I was a Junior in High School in 1958. In addition we had NO computers, cellphones, drug problems or mass school shooting even though many guys had weapons in the 1952 Fords parked in the student lot.
Creepy like Line Dancing to Country Western Music that became puller. When they started doing that I left the dance floor, thought they looked liked afros at a soul music dance.
The creepiness comes from how all those girls are working so hard at dancing, but none seem to be enjoying themselves. They've got their jaws set, and they're not going to stop.
It's like there are killers waiting for them to miss a step, then they'll get shot down, and they're grimly staying alive!

ReplyDeleteDang. That gal in the middle (gray outfit) sure has it goin!
ReplyDeleteKind of like a tribal dance.
ReplyDeleteJWFitz
The really creepy thing, to me, is that a considerable percentage of those, then, young women have died of old age, accidents and illness.
ReplyDeleteAnd it was a tribal dance
