And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
When we were still kids my parents used to take us to White Sands to do this on scrap cardboard that one could always find at the bottom of the bigger sand dunes. It was a hoot.
Ah, the days of my youth. This brought back several memories and a big smile to my face. Used to do this at the Oregon Dunes. The nice thing about the sand is the landing is somewhat soft.
