An Homage to the Rainbow Trout.

  1. You can now find rainbow trout all around the world, but the original home and source for them was IIRC San Leandro Creek in the SF Bay Area. Might try and hit Caples before the RAINS come in. Gotta finish the 'getting-ready-for-a-storm-chores before I get permission to slack off.

Not a complaint about the weather!!!! Bring it on!

    1. Do you fish Caples with a boat, or from shore?

    2. I've done both. Great trolling lake. Caught an 8-lber and my son got an 11lber within a few minutes of one another while sitting near the spillway. Lure eating rocks everywhere. Limit on Brookies is 10 under 10", but 'bows, macks, and brownies in that water. I think the bite should be on on Tuesday, the day before the rains hit.

If you ever want a fishing buddy, find a way to let me know. I have no fishing friends up here. I plan to just walk the shoreline and spot fish the structure. Mostly need the exercise and to fulfill my bloodlust foor them fishies.

Err. maybe fishing with me isn't such a good idea.
Off to Lowe's now. Need to expand a planter box for my garden.
