A Chicago cop was shot but not injured during a recent shooting. The bullet hit his gun while in holster.

  1. What the heck did that cop do to his front sight?

Looks like he sanded the top of the slide too.

  2. I guess this lucky guy wasn't Chicago Officer Samuel Jimenez who died yesterday in a gunfight. Rest in Peace officer Jimenez.

  3. I don't think that's sanding. It looks like dust/gunfire residue/skin-detritus from EDC. There's no retention pressure on the front sight, so that doesn't get squeegeed on a draw/return.

  4. It's probably just as well he didn't try to return fire, since it looks like his slide wouldn't move. Don't know what would happen, but it likely wouldn't be good!
