Wow. Didn't know there were that many trip-planes still airworthy.

They're probably kit planes, but still.

  2. There is a company in MO that makes full size and 3/4 kits.

    1. My 82-year-old uncle in Houston owns a company that repairs aircraft (Aircorr Services). He restored a Fokker Dreidecker kit plane a couple of years ago and sent me a link to a video of it taking off for the first time afterward. It was a beauty to behold.

  3. As far as I can discover, the last couple of original Fokker triplanes were museum specimens in Europe and were destroyed in WWII bombing. There seem to be no engineering drawings, so it's easy to build a triplane that looks exactly like a Fokker, but no one can say whether it flies like one.
