And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Wow. Didn't know there were that many trip-planes still airworthy.
My 82-year-old uncle in Houston owns a company that repairs aircraft (Aircorr Services). He restored a Fokker Dreidecker kit plane a couple of years ago and sent me a link to a video of it taking off for the first time afterward. It was a beauty to behold.
As far as I can discover, the last couple of original Fokker triplanes were museum specimens in Europe and were destroyed in WWII bombing. There seem to be no engineering drawings, so it's easy to build a triplane that looks exactly like a Fokker, but no one can say whether it flies like one.
New Zealand has the most favourable air regulations for rebuilding or replicating old war birds.
