Republican Fitzpatrick welcomed the union's support—it is posted atop his campaign website's endorsement page. He is the only federal candidate to receive the AFL-CIO's support, which the campaign credited with his middle-class background in contrast to that of "inherited multi-millionaire Scott Wallace."
And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

I spent 30 years as a Teamster. During that entire time, it was hammered into everyone that the Democrats are the party of the working man. In reality, it's the party of the non-working man. What further frosted my nuts was that they were backing the party that threw Jimmy Hoffa in jail, and it was a Republican that freed him.
