And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Walther P-38 was my first pistol ever. Bought it in Germany at the Rod and Gun Club on base, $70. Traded it sometime later. Like every gun I ever traded, I wish I still had it. :-(
I had one as well. Flugelman. I bought it for next to nothing in the early 1960's from an ex WW-II G.I. who brought it back from Europe in 1945. It was a sweet weapon in nearly mint condition, but alas moving around costs so I sold it around 1970. Many regrets, but what's done is done.
