And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Well, I've got a Second Lieutenant in the family now. Commissioned today.
The LT and his girlfriend, who graduated cum laude with a nursing degree today as well.
Congratulations CW. He's looking great and a credit to your and your wife. I wish him a long successful career. His girlfriend and your daughters are lovely as well. What an occasion! :)
Congratulations to the Lieutenant, his parents, and girlfriend. Best wishes to the entire family, thank you for your service to our country. And, FlyRme! sincerely, Alemaster
My goodness, how your girls have grown! I remember when they left home and in a reply to something I mentioned, you said "you have to let them go.:) Sniff, sniff....
Outstanding, CW! May he stay safe and fly high! I was just in Charleston, it's a terrific place, although starting to get a bit humid now. If he likes BBQ, Lewis BBQ has Texas style brisket and sausage that is pretty darn good. But there are a LOT of great restaurants in that town. I also went to Fort Johnson and stood on the approximate place where the first mortars kicked off the Late Unpleasantness by firing against Ft. Sumter. Lots of history in that area if he likes that sort of thing.
Very cool!!!. Congrats to the Wingman. Hopefully he will a have an outstanding SNCO to mentor him on leadership and an outstanding commander to show him officership.
Congratulations to them and to you!
