And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Better yet, in college, there was a chick who I knew who could drive her dad's E type, and she was she was a rough edged but sorta cute gal. Whenever it broke down near where I lived, she'd call for a ride. The Jag was my pal.
My Aunt traded her 427 Corvette for a V12 E Type in the early 70's. Ran it in the Cannonball run. Broke the crankshaft in it somewhere out west. If I remember right, they had to ship a new crankshaft all the way from England.
The E-Type was the gold standard when I was growing up...separate from Ferrari, of course, but none the less, beautiful.
