Anyone like sailing?

  1. Wow! I bet after a duty shift on deck in that weather, they are whipped! It would be fun only for about 5 mins, then it would be work!

  2. Just a few months ago there was a single hander went around the world at an average speed of 22 knots. That's amazing. Day and night, 22 knots.

  3. It's really amazing, and very enjoyable, to watch these brave, hard men sailing maniacally in the worst weather- while I'm sitting warm & dry in my home!

Yes, I just love work. I can sit & watch it for hours!

  4. I don't mind taking heavy swells head on, but quartering seas and WORSE for me following seas in that kind of rough are like riding the vomit comet. 12 days in the 40's would just beat the crap out of you and your boat. Riding those willy wha's is a bitch. That made my bones hurt to watch it.--Ray

  5. They're either in the roaring 40s or the screaming 50s. But, that's where you gotta go if you want to run with the big dogs.

I haven't been sailing in years, and miss it a lot. Just no time anymore.
