And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
That's not a Fokker. That is an Albatross. It was in 1916 the worlds only production stressed skin all wood aircraft. "The Red Barron" Barron Von Rictoffen (spell?) racked up more than half his 80 kills in that type.---Ray
WW1 ushered a golden age of aces the in turn led to the development of the penultimate in piston engine (and early jets) in WW2. The Albatross, the Pfalz, the Fokkers were all so classic. When I was a kid I wanted to own one and fly it. That thought never left me. Should I buy an ultralight to scratch that itch?
perhaps an LSA? sport pilot is a good deal and LSAs have a lot of convenience for the pilot type folks that just want to have a lot of fun with out the bugs in the teeth. but that is my thought. please indulge yourself and scratch the hell out of the itch. Just do it.
Cute little Fokker....
