ReplyDeleteWhy isn't Al Franken up there taking a bow for saving them from Global Warming?
It's a muggy 81 degrees in Key West...
ReplyDeleteHave a brew or two in Captain Tony's for me my friend. Sloppy Joes is for the tourists. I have many happy thoughts of the keys from back in the 1980's when my mother had a place in Marathon.
DeleteEvery time some new assininity in CA gets me thinking that it's time to leave, I see a post like this.
ReplyDeleteThen I put up with the idiocy!
Brrrrrrrrr, that's too cold for my old bones! Besides, I never liked chopping wood, though I did an awful lot of it in my younger days; I do miss my potbelly stove, though.
Well, it might be -36 but at least it's dark 17 hours out of the day.
ReplyDeleteBut it's a DRY cold! That makes it better....right?
ReplyDeleteAt 8600', 10 miles south of the Wyoming state line, on nights when it was clear, 35 below was the norm. My first winter there I got 25 feet of snow and about 9 feet on the ground in March when spring rolled around. That was also my last winter there.
ReplyDeleteHigh of 60? My overnight low won’t be that cool. And I’m a few hundred miles north of Key West.
