Speaking of Stetsons...

While strolling through the company's website, I found this, which I clearly remember my grandfather wearing.  Strangely enough, Stetson calls this the Open Road.  Does that mean it was meant for me to get one?  I don't know, but now I gotta find a picture of him with this hat on - where is that box of old photos?

  1. My grandfather wore one too. His was dove gray.

I'm of an age, with grandchildren, where I need to consider the purchase.

  2. My paternal grand-dad had one of these as well. He passed 10 years before I was born, so all I ever saw was pictures.... hmmmmm.... You may have sold a dozen before this is done!!

    1. My dad has one from long before LBJ and it's stamped Open Road, though we call them the cattleman out here. Interesting to learn what they are/were called in different parts of the country.

  7. Don't have one of those, but I inherited my Dad's two Stetsons: a straw model called the Roadrunner, and a Smokey and the Bandit model.
