Taking the scenic route

  1. Rivers go where they go, no stopping them except temporarily. Even concrete dams are not permanent compared to mountains.

  3. I am having a hard time believing that this is real. IMHO a river flowing down a canyon or a mountain valley tends to flow in a straight line. A river flowing along a flat piece of land tends to meander.

  4. Taking a second look, the rock formations may have in fact caused the meandering.

  6. That bottom 'wall' is no longer, it's been washed away creating an island.
