  1. I has the single gas tank. If it has the V8 it had a range of 140 to 160 miles. Dad had a Bronco with that setup. He kept it almost a year before he traded it.

  3. I guess people love these things because they are so minimalistic. A rail frame, a v8, a drive train simple enough for 1930, steering gear, a couple seats, and a slab panel body (until it rusts away). I always liked the look, but between the propensity to rust and being a Ford product....well..no thanks.

  5. I'd rather have a Scout of the same vintage.

  6. Base engine was a straight 6, and it had plenty of torque. Mine was 3 on the tree. Yes, gas tank was small.

  7. The Scout would have been better when new, but they both had a bad tendency to rust, and just try getting parts for that Scout, nowadays. The Scouts had an option for twin 10 gal saddle tanks, and mine used to give me about 20 mpg with the 4-196
    engine.

  11. Bought a ‘73 used for $3300, worked summers and camped in it for four years and sold it for $3500 to pay off my student loans. See how that works, kids?
