  1. Wow, $90 for a tricked out Leatherman. Every time I got deployed to the middle east I was issued a new pair of boots, knife, and muti-tool. I have 5 or 6 Leatherman, a couple Gerbers, and a Germen made muti-tool that is the daily carry.

  2. I hate Leathermans. As above, seemed to be issued a new one on every deployment, and each one opened and closed a little differently. One of them I needed to swing the knife blade out to get at the screwdriver so I could adjust laser codes on our bombs. Negative transfer from a previous edition got me when I went to close it and I sliced my thumb to the bone. Grabbed some gauze and tape from the MX Super, put the flight glove over it and flew a nine hour mission. Stuck with a Gerber multitool from then on.

  3. I've carried the original stainless Skeletool since it was introduced. Long-lasting. Don't know about the newest models.
