And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Wow, $90 for a tricked out Leatherman. Every time I got deployed to the middle east I was issued a new pair of boots, knife, and muti-tool. I have 5 or 6 Leatherman, a couple Gerbers, and a Germen made muti-tool that is the daily carry.
I hate Leathermans. As above, seemed to be issued a new one on every deployment, and each one opened and closed a little differently. One of them I needed to swing the knife blade out to get at the screwdriver so I could adjust laser codes on our bombs. Negative transfer from a previous edition got me when I went to close it and I sliced my thumb to the bone. Grabbed some gauze and tape from the MX Super, put the flight glove over it and flew a nine hour mission. Stuck with a Gerber multitool from then on.

ReplyDeleteI've carried the original stainless Skeletool since it was introduced. Long-lasting. Don't know about the newest models.
