  2. Cats know more than people give them credit for. The know associations between words and things or actions. They also experience emotions such as jealousy. I've seen all this within the past 22 years through different cats that I've had.

  4. it's a perfect arrangement, really. We feed, care for, and clean up after them, and they....permit us to pet and love them.
    I've often wondered, how it is that cats fit so perfectly into a human lifestyle, largely irrespective of the nature of that lifestyle. Cats seem almost frighteningly adaptable, and so they seem to seamlessly fit into whatever situation they find most appealing.
    Very puzzling creatures.

  6. I have a rescue cat, a gray calico that had been abandoned by her people, after living with them for ten years. I know Peaches loves me.

  9. Wife and daughter have had cats all our
    lives. Dad has always been an outsider.
    Guess they knew I was a dog person.
    Think I got the best of the deal!
