And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Cats know more than people give them credit for. The know associations between words and things or actions. They also experience emotions such as jealousy. I've seen all this within the past 22 years through different cats that I've had.
it's a perfect arrangement, really. We feed, care for, and clean up after them, and they....permit us to pet and love them. I've often wondered, how it is that cats fit so perfectly into a human lifestyle, largely irrespective of the nature of that lifestyle. Cats seem almost frighteningly adaptable, and so they seem to seamlessly fit into whatever situation they find most appealing. Very puzzling creatures. Mike in Canada
