  4. ‘72 I estimate.
A HS friend’s parents gifted him a Red Super Bee that year. He was filling the tank every day and we lived in a little town. I don’t remember the acceleration rate or top end. But it was a deluxe muscle car. -Franknbean

  5. Certain styles age well. The color scheme fits the style very well, hot looking set of wheels. Wonder what they got in it for engine and driveline.
Worked at a garage out of high-school, customer comes in for a brake job, its a Dodge Dart Swinger, don't give it much thought, has the flower power stickers behind the front wheel wells, lioks like a hippy car, get the front wheels off i'm looking at 6 piston front calipers with monster full vented drilled discs, never seen any like them before, mmm, take a gander under the hood, there sits a big ass engine bay wide cross-flow manifold with two honkin 4 bbls on a factory souped up 340, real hood induction, big radiator, and behind it a factory short throw 4 speed. Boss said no way, you are gonna test drive this. I had started there that week.
He did let me take his tri power 66 GTO for a spin little later, pick up chinese take out for the shop. Nice car, 3 two barrels comes o. a lit different than a 4 bbl or quad 4's, heavy car though, needed a set of those six piston calipers. Classy car with those 4 eyes and sexy lines.

  6. It's nice that they had the decency to match the paint job to the license plate.
