And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Steep. One slip and you'd tumble faster and faster right to the bottom, ending up as nothing more than a pile of jelly.
I fell skiing down the face of a glacier (or whatever you call that) at Val d’Isére, France. It wasn’t as big as that picture, but it was pretty steep. I figured if I tumbled I would break some bones so I rigidly held out my arms and legs so I would stay flat. It worked. I just slid along at a fairly slow speed until I reached the bottom and just stopped. My skiing companions said I looked like a big white comet with all the snow my arms and legs kicked up.
That's a whole lot of NOPE.
