And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Gorgeous. Color casehardening is a nasty process, though-at least the old process. Heavy metal carbonates, nitrates, cyanides, charcoal, high temps, and then pull it out and dump into cold saltwater within seconds. Wild to watch. Even the newer methods (wood & bone charcoal only) are pretty scary. Don't try this at home folks. (Or, at least, not inside...) But if you must, directions are in the Machinist's Bedside Reader v3 & v2 by Guy Lautard.
