Nice Color Casehardening

  1. Gorgeous. Color casehardening is a nasty process, though-at least the old process. Heavy metal carbonates, nitrates, cyanides, charcoal, high temps, and then pull it out and dump into cold saltwater within seconds. Wild to watch. Even the newer methods (wood & bone charcoal only) are pretty scary. Don't try this at home folks. (Or, at least, not inside...)
