And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
If you can afford the fuel you can go about anywhere. I used to have an endorsement for the HEMTT. They need to mount an AC on the roof of the cab as it get quite warm in there.
Deployed on exercises sometimes we'd smuggle in a charcoal grill and someone would make a daily run to town for groceries (and beer). A steady diet of nothing but C-rations will bind you up pretty good.
It's also missing a high frequency radio antenna, LED spotlights, off road lights, front bumper mounted winch, and a cab roof mount for the Browning M-2 .50 calibre machine gun (which was standard for 2 1/2 ton and 5 ton trucks when I was serving during the war in the old Republic of Viet Nam).
Not only that, but how are guys like me, using a wheelchair, supposed to climb into and out of that cab or the camper?
Not really compatible. I expect that camper to be "sticks & staples" construction, and going offroad will beat the heck out of it. Best to collect replacements now, so when it needs to be tossed you have another in hand.

In the Old Army, "camping" was never like that.

If there's pavement, it's not military style.
ReplyDeleteTake that somewhere it's up to the axle hubs in mud, and it's raining, and you'd be on the right track.
Camper needs camo...
