And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

I've ridden in a lot of Jeeps over the years, and these would be very handy to have.
Here's another modern innovation: I was checking my tow straps and got to looking at the tow hooks on my new truck. Now, instead of hooks, truck manufacturers have taken to installing closed loop - style devices, instead of the classic hook-type. that got me to thinking: How am I gonna attach the strap without looping it through the eye, which might over-tighten and be tough to get off? A steel shackle is going to bang up the bumper chrome.
Then I found these. Great idea ! They're sitting in the bag, next the strap, in my tool box now.
