  3. Was he ever in his prime? A prime state? Flashes of brilliance for sure, however Hemingway was disturbed most of the time.

  8. I will never, ever like Hemingway or read his works. He was a communist. He was a huge admirer of Castro. He lived in Cuba at the time Castro took over and stayed there for some time afterward. He and Che Guevara were good friends and Hemingway was often a guest at the firing squad massacres Che presided over.

    Che was known for bragging about personally killing some 3,000 prisoners, all guilty of not being communists and including both women and children. In the book by Humberto Fontova, "Hemingway would watch the massacres from a picnic chair while sipping Daiquiris.’ ” While watching hundreds of political prisoners murdered.

    Nope, no fan of that scum.
