And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

I'm driving a Dodge Ram in California. I'm out of touch, apparently.
IDK, when I bought my Ram 11 years ago, I was one of the few driving a Ram in the company parking lot. Within the last 3 or 4 years, it definitely looks like lots of other people are converting to Hemi power. I'd guess right now the split on new trucks is roughly 50% Ram and 30% Chevy/GMC. Older trucks are still predominately Ford.
Dodge has done a good job with their 5.7 liter motor, common in Ram trucks. Previous to the one I have now, I got nearly 300k miles out of it before it started requiring significant maintenance. About 65k on the latest version. Good engines.
Just picked up a new Ram 3500 today - ordered it in June. Sweet ride, handles great, ton of room. Quite a step up from the 27 year-old Ram 2500 I traded in.
Here in SW Idaho it's about evenly divided between Ram and Ford. Chevy/GMC look a distant 3rd. Mine's a 2013 Ram 1500 Longhorn 5.7. I'm driving it till I'm gone, then it goes to my son. Great truck.
And I'm driving a Dodge Ram in Michigan, where the map says Ford 150s rule. I'll stick to my Hemi.

DeleteCW, I'd guess you don't live in SoCal or the Bay Area & everyone know that's the "real" modern state of California!
ReplyDelete"Other" most popular in Cal is anything that gets 30mpg or more.
ReplyDeleteI guess i got to move to Arkansas. (GMC Denali)
ReplyDeleteI'm in Indiana, and I gotta say I think the Ford is more popular here.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking whoever put this graphic together had bad data.

ReplyDeleteMaine runs WAY MORE Chevy's than Fords......bad info!!
ReplyDeleteFrom DC to Baltimore, the winner is..."CARJACKED!", followed by GOV, then chauffeured Lincoln Town Car or motorcade.
