And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I fail to see the fascination in stuff like those or old Jeep pickups or International Scouts. The didn't stop making them for any other reason except they were junk. It's only when you pour tons of money into them that they work.
It's not that they were necessarily junk, it's the fact that they didn't sell in the huge numbers that the makers wanted. Car makers got jaded by the sales figures, and profits, of the Mustang, and expected everything to hit a similar mark. Anything less was just a big disappointment, and the managers felt cheated.
