Whaleback high speed RAF air-sea rescue launch HSL 164 off Ceylon in 1943. I believe that's a Hawker Hurricane flying cover.

  4. I never understood the reason for enclosing the gun mounts in plexiglas. Seems like a man would cook in there in the tropical sun....

    1. Could be armored glass, but I'm guessing it is for water spray control. Hard to shoot when bow wave splashes are hitting you. Is flying fish a problem in that area?
