And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I have found myself watching a few youtuber/bloggers who are living that dream.
It's interesting to me on so many levels... I was unaware of the ability to make a living from youtube. I had no idea about the amount of work that goes into keeping a boat in good shape. I had given zero thought about the true speed of a sailboat, well the speed when you're going a good distance... 3000 miles is a lot of time at 2-8 mph! I'd never thought of just buying a sailboat off craigslist and just going for it, taking the learning curve as it comes and heading out into the sunset. But some people do it... I know the ocean is a dangerous place ( I grew up by the ocean) but I had not really thought about it in anything other than the abstract until I saw the video where a solo sailor had climbed the mast during less than good weather on a passage so she could repair a broken line. It had to be done.
They're a lot of work, but enjoyable......not sure about the solo thing & climbing the mast is not fun. Spent many summer weekends on a 50' Vagabond. 1 side note, never work for a business owner that owns a 50' Vagabond.
Nice dream

I am happy with my life today....
