And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
That’s definitely not a New York pastrami And it’s definitely not from a Kosher deli where the mixing of meat and dairy (the cheese) is forbidden under Kosher dietary law A true New York pastrami sandwich is just the meat and regular rye bread And the purist’s won’t add deli mustard either !
From my youth in the Steel City, at a bar near the Blawnox Works there was one sandwich and only one sandwich. Corned Beef on rye. The bartender who made it counted off thirty two slices as he used a deli-slicer to not quite shave the slices. The monster sandwich came with Heinz brown mustard and a dill pickle spear. Most workemen "clients" drank Iron City Beer Boilermakers. All gone now. That mill was taken apart bolt by bolt and shipped to Brazil along with the jobs.
Toasted marble rye double bacon cheese lettuce and tomato?
ReplyDeleteThrow in some steak fries and a quart of sweet tea then get outta my way.
My mistake.
DeleteApparently it's a NY Pastrami.
Regardless, I'd still rip it a new one.
